BetterUp Labs and the Stanford Social Media Lab report that 40% of surveyed US desk workers had received low-quality AI-generated work during the previous month in their September 2025 research. The findings document how apparently finished AI output can transfer unfinished thinking and correction work to colleagues, supporting the manuscript's concern about accepting errors because someone downstream will repair them.
